I would like to draw everyone's attention to my friend, Sarah Dolecki, who is a phenomenal photographer and who deserves as much traffic as she can possibly garner. She also deserves to be in good art shows. She is working diligently on both of these goals, and I would like to give her a hand. I recently received the following email, and I'd like to draw it to everyone's attention:
"Hello,
If you have a second, could you please lend me a hand? I am doing really well and was hoping to be included in this art exhibition. Alot of really talented artists are up for it and I was hoping you could help me out by going to:
http://www.projekt30.com/
and clicking on the "help jury the March exhibition" link. Skip ahead of, about 30 artists, until you reach "Sarah Dolecki' and then rate my submitted work. I think this will help me, but who knows. At any rate, you will see alot of amazing work from emerging artists and I am honored to have gotten this far in the process.
Cheers,
Sarah D."
Please note, however, that when you go to the show's site, you actually must judge 20 different artists for your vote to be valid. While this might seem like a pain, I'm sure you can follow the logic behind it (otherwise it'd be a sort of online stuffing-of-the-ballot box). So please take five to ten minutes out of your eBaying, or MySpacing, or CriagsListing, to scan some of these artists, plug in your vote, and send the Divine Ms. D to her art show.
There are definitely some other interesting artists in there, too. I think I happen to be biased towards photography but there are some really good oils and portraits in there as well.
In the immortal words of Puffy: "Vote Or Die!" Please?
